This took awhile actually, oddly though, the animation took a lot longer than the big emote considering how simple the animation is. --
Not my best big emote though, the darker colors are a little too dark, but I didn't notice it until I dithered the whole thing, and by then it was too late(and I wasn't going start the whole thing over.). --
The animation for the little emote is flawless. The colouring on the big emote is a little distracting, but like you said in the artist comments it's probably just because it's too dark. If you download GIMP, there's a tool (Shift O) that selects all of that colours to allow you to replace it without touching any other colours. It'd certainly make it easier to make that colour a little lighter.
Alternatively you could open it up in MS paint and use the eraser tool to do the exact same thing. When you hold down the right mouse button, the eraser works by changing on the canvas whatever's your left colour to the right colour from your colour pallete without affecting any other colours
I love the way the little emote bounces, it just gives the feeling that it's having some fun bouncing off of that emote. The blinking eyes were a good idea for the orange emote, however, I'd like to see it have some more movement then just it's eyes. When the little emote jumps into it then the big emote should have some reaction to it, if not in the face then at the very least the body should spring back at the same spot the emote hits. Overall you've done a great job on your emotes, if you can just add some more animation to the orange emote and make the shading a little lighter then I'm sure it'll add quite a lot to the overall effect
I didn't know you could do that in gimp. Then again, I usually just use gimp to change the frame rates and such. I'll try to remember that tool.;D
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I just didn't know what I could animate to do it, and I kinda rushed it because it needed to be done in one day (I started in the morning, and worked on it off and on until posting it at night.).
Haha, I think the orange emote kinda likes it. Or maybe he's just acting nice so the emote will keep doing it and the orange emote can grab him at just the right time to eat him.¬.¬
