:bulletgreen: What's the Emoticonist Advent Calendar?  It's a special project where emoticonists sign up to create an emoticon picture for each of the days. Depending on how many people sign up, each emoticonist can do one or more entries. The fun of an Advent calendar is that the piece is not shown until the day arrives.  So the piece for December 15th won't be revealed until the 15th!

Edit2: WOW! What a turn-out! We have a large gang participating this year. Remember, you can join at any time, so if you're an emoticonist, jump on in. I will be publishing a weekly special-journal during the event highlighting emotes made the previous week, as well as an event round-up news article at the end of the month, so keep an eye out!
:happybounce:  As many of you know, November 1st is the start of NaNoWriMo.  It's an event that challenges authors to write 50,000 words on a novel in the month of November.  Last year in an attempt to give emoticonists something to do while all the Lit people did NaNoWriMo, I came up with NaNoEmo.  The goal is similar--make 30 emotes in 30 days.  
Ideally, one emote a day, but however you carve it up is fine.  Also, if you miss a day (or two or three) don't sweat it.  The goal is to create more emotes than you normally would.  So, even if you manage 15, that's better than making none!

So what does it take to become a Senior? That's a question many have asked and have never really been able to get a straight answer on. Some have gained Seniority as a thank you for their time spent as a Volunteer, or to recognise their contribution to a particular project or collaborative action. Emotional Emoticons 21Well, it's back. On a Sunday, no less. Are you surprised? That's what the search term was. Surprise.
 Week 28 Surprise Party by ~Shadowed-Serenity is very cute, and well done for a static emote.
 Surprise? by =Kath602 is probably not what you'd want to see while swimming or diving, but that makes it all the better for it not happening to you. :giggle:
 Peeny's Birthday Party by `stuck-in-suburbia is very neat. See how many emote OCs you can recognize!
 Genius by *Astral-Dragon is funny because who expects a little kid to know Einstein's Theory of Relativity?
Surprise by `UnicornReality because why make sense all the time? Muffins.
 Eye Popping by ~demonicintuition is a great test of making things bigger. I love the shading, too.

TIME

I admit, the EMTC hasn't been getting a lot of love from me lately.  Real life interceding, and all the stress and craziness of the holidays. :faint: But, with the start of the new year, things will slow down and there will be "time" :eyes: to do more things.  Hopefully. :shifty: This is suppose to be the last year and all. :cough: Anyways, I decided this would be a good theme for the new year.  Perhaps your emote finally has time to focus on some of its hobbies....or it is obsessed with clocks.  M

Why is "Flove" so handy?
You can use "flove" in any situation, at any time, anywhere.  Wanna get away with swearing at school when you REALLY love something?  "I FLOVE IT, MAN!"  No one can yell at you because you're not ACTUALLY using the swear, but it's most definitely implied. ;)  (Yes, I know, lame example/reasoning is lame. :
