How to Fix Animation "Trailing" in Gimp

So, you just made an animation in gimp on a transparent background. You go to save it, check the animation for last minute fixes, and BAM! The animation looks like this!:noes:

You are probably wondering, "What did I do wrong?" or how do I fix this?". Well if this has ever happened to you and you're still wondering how to fix it, than please read the rest of this tutorial.:D

Note that this tutorial is only guaranteed to work in Gimp (You can get a free copy at gimp.org). This method may work in other programs, but Gimp is the only program I have that officially supports animation.;)

Let's begin!:eager:

So after you have made your animation, just save it like you would normally. If you normally just press the save button, make sure to press "Save As" instead.:meow:
If you use gimp 2.8. or newer, press "Export" instead of "Save as".

After you save it as whatever name you want to call it, made sure to add .gif to the end of it. Then press the "Save".

IMPORTANT!  When this box pops up, make sure to press the "Save as Animation" option. If you don't it will default to the "Merge Visible Layers" option, and you don't want that for animations.:giggle:

When this box pops up, click on the sassy drop down tab that says "I don't care:icondivaplz:" (the one being pointed at), and then press "One frame per layer (replace)". Above that box (the one that says "100"), you can change the frame rate too. I'm going to keep this animation at 100ms (1/10 of a second) per frame. After you do that press "Save".

And there you have it! I now have a clean looking floaty text that doesn't trail!:dummy:

That's it! I hope you found this tutorial helpful!:D If you have any further questions please ask in the comments section.;)
